Village Development Project Dhading
The underprivileged Kumal ethnic group lives about 3 hours west of Kathmandu by car. With the construction of a small school, Little Stars, together with the village community, ensured that the children could attend school for the first time ever. Many started class 1 at the age of 12 or 14. A few years later, the construction of a health station on the school grounds could be realised, because medical care was not available here. After more than 10 years of successful work, the project was handed over to the responsibility of the villagers.
